On Friday 14th October we held our Charity Quiz and Curry Night in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The event was only announced a couple months prior and sold out within a week.

We Raised Over £1500 For Bronllys League of Friends
We hosted our charity Bingo Night on Friday 12th August in aid of Bronllys Hospital & Community League of Friends and during this event we managed to raise a very impressive £832 for the charity!

We’re over the moon to announce that on the 28th of July 2022 we were awarded ‘Best Destination Garden Centre in Wales and West’ at the annual Wales & West Area Garden Centre Association (GCA) Awards.
Local Schools Plant Trees for the Jubilee
Last week some of the Old Railway Line Garden Centre team visited local primary schools and towns to donate and plant trees to mark the Queen’s Jubilee. We visited five of the local cluster primary schools as well as two local towns.

On 15th February 2022, The Old Railway Line Garden Centre were awarded ‘Garden Centre of the Year 2021’ at the national Garden Centre Association (GCA) Awards.

This weekend, 28th-30th, is the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch. The Big Birdwatch is for everyone, whether you’re a beginner or a birding expert. It’s a great chance for a digital detox and to be wowed by your local wildlife!

Last Friday, the family-run, Old Railway Line Garden Centre were announced the regional winners of the Garden Centre Association’s annual Christmas Competition in Wales and the West.
£713 Raised for Bronllys League of Friends
On Friday 22nd October we held a Charity Quiz and Curry Night in aid of Bronllys Hospital & Community League of Friends, with a third of each ticket price going straight to the charity.
Over £600 Raised for Macmillan
On 24th September, independent, family-owned business The Old Railway Line Garden Centre raised £642 for Macmillan Cancer Support. From the cake and coffee sales along with raffle ticket sales taken on entrance to the Garden Centre, they managed to raise £642.
£1,165 raised for Brecon Mountain Rescue
We’re delighted to announce that over the past 18 months we’ve raised and donated £1,165 for local charity, Brecon Mountain Rescue. Now that restrictions in Wales have lifted, we are looking forward to putting our events back in the calendar.
