Saving The Planet, One Compost Bag At A Time

We are thrilled to be taking another significant step towards environmental responsibility with the installation of a new recycling bin for compost bags! This eco-conscious initiative, with a huge thanks to Evergreen Garden Care, marks another milestone in our ongoing commitment to sustainability.

The new recycling bin, conveniently located in our car park, aims to address the environmental challenges posed by single-use plastic compost bags. By providing a designated collection point for compost bags, we hope to divert these items away from landfills and instead channel them towards recycling and reuse. The bags get recycled into pellets and the pellets are used for garden furniture or ultimately another compost bag.

As many of our loyal customers know already, we have always tried to be steadfast in adopting eco-friendly practices. With 40,000 litres of storage for recycled water, 210 solar panels powering the shop, and sourcing from over 60 local suppliers, we have consistently sought ways to reduce our ecological footprint while also making sustainable living equally as accessible for our customers.
