Bingo! £689 Raised for Brecon & District Mind
The Old Railway Line Garden Centre, located in Three Cocks between Brecon and Hay-on-Wye, hosted a Bingo Night on Friday 22nd February in aid of Brecon and District Mind.
Director, Mark Cleary said “We are delighted to have raised £689 for our ‘charity of the year’, Brecon and District Mind. A big thank you to everyone who attended; we hope you had a great time and enjoyed the delicious food and bingo on offer. Congratulations to all of our winners who claimed £210 worth of cash and voucher prizes!”
“Awareness of mental health is becoming greater and organisations such as Brecon and District Mind offer a vital service within our local community. We enjoy hosting charity events throughout the year which raise vital funds for local charities such as Brecon and District Mind. Booking is now open for our next Charity Bingo Night in August!”
Michael Power, Community Wellbeing Manager from Brecon and District Mind added, “We offer a wide variety of services throughout the local area including support groups, complementary therapies, counselling and activities which rely on fundraising like the Old Railway Line’s. We are delighted that they are supporting us as their ‘Charity of the Year’ and have raised so much money already!”
Brecon and District Mind supports people in the community affected by mental illness and distress. They help by providing high quality services to promote good mental health and well-being.
