Best Garden Centre in the UK
The Old Railway Line Garden Centre, located in Three Cocks between Brecon and Hay-on-Wye, was awarded ‘Best Garden Centre in the UK’ this week by the Garden Centre Association. The result was announced at the annual GCA conference dinner at the Luton Hoo Hotel, building on last year’s award successes including being named ‘Best Garden Centre in Wales and the West’ for the seventh consecutive year.
Garden Centre Director, Mark Cleary said; “We are absolutely blown away to have been crowned ‘Best Garden Centre’ in the whole of the UK. When we joined the Garden Centre Association 11 years ago this was ‘the impossible dream!’ We were a small fish in a very big pond of incredible garden centres, and we are so proud to be where we are today.”
“A big thank you to our incredible team who work tirelessly throughout the year to ensure that the centre is at its best. Our priority is creating the best experience possible for our customers and this award is fantastic recognition for our team’s hard work.”
The GCA represents over 200 garden centres nationwide. The annual awards are decided by the results of the annual inspections, which take place at all GCA garden centres. Garden centres have no advance warning about when their inspection will take place and they do not have the option to turn away the inspector.
