Product Description

The Syringa vulgaris ‘Michel Buchner’ lilac is a vigorous, bushy deciduous shrub that delivers a spectacular floral display in spring. Its large, dense panicles of double flowers emerge in soft rose-lilac tones with lighter centres, creating a classic and elegant look that never goes out of fashion.

The mid-green foliage provides a fresh backdrop to the flowers and helps form a substantial, well-shaped shrub that works beautifully in cottage and informal gardens. Thanks to its size and structure, it can also be grown as a small tree or used as a striking specimen plant.

Thriving best in fertile, humus-rich soil and a sunny or lightly shaded position, ‘Michel Buchner’ is reliable, long-lived and remarkably cold hardy. Once established, it requires minimal attention while rewarding gardeners with a stunning and fragrant spring display year after year.
