Product Description
The Kapiteyn ‘Red Sun’ Shallot is a trusted choice for home gardeners and allotment growers alike. Recognised for its high yields and superb taste, it produces compact clusters of bulbs with attractive red skins and crisp white flesh. The flavour is strong yet versatile, making it ideal for adding depth to savoury dishes, or for enjoying raw in salads.
Shallot sets are the simplest way to grow this rewarding crop. Unlike seed, sets establish quickly and mature faster, making them perfect for beginners and experienced growers alike. Plant them early in the season and enjoy a reliable harvest by mid-summer.
With their compact growth habit, these shallots are suitable for vegetable plots, raised beds, or even small garden spaces, offering excellent value for any grower looking to extend their harvest season.
