Product Description

Juniperus scopulorum ‘Blue Arrow’ is a highly attractive evergreen conifer that combines vivid blue foliage with a naturally narrow, upright form. Its elegant silhouette makes it an excellent choice for adding height and structure to garden borders without creating a bulky canopy.

Growing to approximately 2.5m tall under suitable conditions, this compact ornamental juniper is particularly useful in smaller gardens, contemporary planting schemes and formal landscapes. Plant it as a focal point, use it to frame an entrance or pathway, or position several plants in a row for a refined architectural effect.

Its blue foliage contrasts beautifully with green shrubs, ornamental grasses and flowering perennials, while its evergreen habit ensures year-round visual interest. For best results, choose a sunny position with well-drained soil and water regularly while the plant establishes.

  • Soil: Choose well-drained soil and avoid areas prone to prolonged waterlogging.

  • Watering: Water thoroughly after planting and keep the soil moderately moist while the roots establish. Water during extended dry spells, particularly in the first growing season.

  • Feeding: Apply a suitable slow-release fertiliser in spring if needed, following the manufacturer's instructions.

  • Pruning: This juniper naturally maintains its narrow shape, so extensive pruning is generally unnecessary. Remove dead or damaged branches as required and avoid cutting into old, bare wood.

  • Container Care: If growing in a container, select a suitably sized pot with good drainage and monitor moisture levels regularly.

  • Winter Care: Its evergreen foliage provides structure throughout the colder months. Ensure the soil remains well drained during wet winter weather.

Juniperus scopulorum ‘Blue Arrow’ is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking a distinctive evergreen feature with vivid blue foliage and an elegant, upright silhouette. Its space-saving form and year-round appeal make it ideal for modern gardens, formal borders and architectural planting schemes.

The plant's growth rate and size will vary depending on planting position & conditions. Bloom, foliage and interest may vary from photo upon delivery, dependant on season.
