Family Zone at the Old Railway Line

This summer, the Old Railway Line Garden Centre promises to be a hub for family fun including regular ‘Wild Wednesday’ workshop events, A&S Animal Encounters and a free ‘Family Zone’.

Event Manager, Matthew said “We know the long summer holidays are difficult to fill with fun and entertaining activities for children whilst they are away from school. This year we are going above and beyond to provide entertainment including our new ‘Family Zone’.

“The ‘Family Zone’ will include a sandpit, photo board and pedal tractors. There will be seating to enjoy takeaway drinks and food from the Restaurant or Tea Room, offering a space to sit-back and relax whilst the children enjoy themselves!”

“Our series of ‘Wild Wednesday’ workshops return and will run every Wednesday of the school break offering a different themed activity, craft or show each week. We’ve got some exciting new additions to the event series this year including Magic, Science and Dinosaur Shows! Spaces for Wild Wednesdays are limited and require pre-booking as they expect to sell out.

“We also have A&S Animal Encounters joining us again on Sunday 25th August. You can get up close to and learn about some amazing animals including a bearcat, toucan, Burmese python and everyone’s favourite… Meerkats! This event is free to attend with no booking required.”
