Bingo Night Raises £1,210 for Prostate Cancer Research
We're thrilled to announce that our recent Charity Bingo Night, held on Thursday, 27th February, raised an incredible £1,210 for Prostate Cancer Research. The funds will go towards Tiny Harding’s dedicated fundraising efforts to support vital research and raise awareness of prostate cancer.
The evening was a fantastic success, with a great turnout of enthusiastic players, all eager to support this important cause. Guests enjoyed a lively night of bingo, hosted by the brilliant Darren Ricketts, whose expert number calling kept the energy high throughout the event.
Matt Lewis, our Retail & Event Manager, expressed his gratitude for the community’s generosity: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came along and supported our Charity Bingo Night. It was fantastic to see such a brilliant response, and we’re delighted to be able to contribute to Tiny’s fundraising efforts for Prostate Cancer Research. A huge thank you to Darren for making the evening so enjoyable!”
Tiny Harding, who is currently undergoing treatment for prostate cancer, has been tirelessly raising funds and awareness for the cause. Reflecting on the success of the event, he shared, “I can’t thank the Old Railway Line team enough for supporting my fundraising efforts as their Charity of the Year. Every penny raised will help fund crucial research and support those affected by prostate cancer. It means the world to me to see so many people coming together to make a difference, including old colleagues and friends at the Garden Centre.”
We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make the event such a success. Supporting charitable causes remains an essential part of our community ethos.
