£1,165 raised for Brecon Mountain Rescue

We’re delighted to announce that over the past 18 months we’ve raised and donated £1,165 for local charity, Brecon Mountain Rescue. Despite having been in lockdown for numerous months and not being able to put on our usual Charity Fundraising events, we have still been able to raise an impressive amount through previous fundraising efforts and replacement reward cards.

Our event manager, Matthew Lewis said, “Although it has been a shame that events have had to have been put on hold, we’ve still managed to raise a fantastic amount of money for our chosen charity! From previous fundraising efforts just before the first lockdown and by saving up each little bit of money that goes towards replacement Reward Cards, we’ve done a really good job to not let the last 18 months halt our charity efforts.”

Now that restrictions in Wales have lifted, we are looking forward to putting our events back in the calendar. It’s great to finally see the events page on our website going back up. Many plans are being made with a few scheduled in on the events page already up until the end of this year.

Our first event back will be our Quiz and Curry Night on 22nd October which sold out within 3 days of announcing it. Thank you to all who bought a ticket! It will be in aid of our next chosen charity which is Bronllys Hospital & Community League of Friends. Looking forward to seeing you there!
