We’re absolutely thrilled to share that our recent fundraising efforts here at the Old Railway Line Garden Centre have raised an amazing £1,385.74 for Macmillan Cancer Support!
Over the past couple of weeks, our community has come together for two fantastic events, our Quiz & Curry Night and our Macmillan Coffee Morning, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together.
A Night of Fun, Food, and Fundraising
Our Quiz & Curry Night, held on Friday 3rd October, was a huge success, raising an incredible £1,148 in one evening!
Over 120 people joined us for a night packed with laughs, great food, and plenty of friendly competition. Guests tucked into delicious homemade curries while putting their knowledge to the test across several rounds of trivia.
A massive congratulations to our quiz winners, ‘Six Thick Twizzle Sticks’ - a brilliant team made up of members from our very own plant area team! 🌿
Coffee, Cake, and Community Spirit
The week before, we hosted our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning, which added another £237.74 to our total. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces enjoying a coffee and cake, all while supporting a charity that means so much to so many people.

We’re always blown away by the generosity and community spirit shown by everyone who takes part in our events. Whether you joined us for the quiz, bought raffle tickets or visited for a coffee and cake, thank you!
Together, we’ve helped raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that provides life-changing support to people living with cancer and their families.
